It does seem that the Portes du Soleil does offer the best value for money when considering the size of area that it is on offer and the number of lifts that are available.
At a time when you want to make sure that you are getting value for your money, the lift pass associated with the wider area of Morzine does seem to be the best out there. Why not combine this with one of our ski deals to ensure that the money that you do spend is money well spent. For more information about our catered chalets and self catered apartments in Morzine then please contact us.
If you think that this could be for you too then please contact us for next summers Alpine Road Bike Camp in Morzine….and stay in our catered chalet in Morzine!
On the 30th July 2011, 12 very keen road bikers arrived at our Farmhouse la Desmeuniere in Morzine to join our Alpine Road Bike Camp 2011. The aim was to complete 6 days cycling over some of the worlds most famous climbs including retracing the stage 19 route of the Tour de France 2011. The week was a resounding success. The Road Bikers climbed over 11250 meters of high mountain passes over the course of the week and enjoyed the views and the sunshine of the French Alps.

We are already planning the Alpine Road Bike Camp 2012 alongside Nick Miles from UrbanFit so please email us for dates and further details.
People often think of climbing as a sport for adults and when I say adults I mean lithe, strong, very fit men with bulging biceps. However, rock climbing is a sport for everyone and if you start your children young enough then the fear factor is minuscule and they just go from strength to strength.
Morzine is a superb resort to get your children started. With some great beginner rock faces to start with and expert tuition available then what better place to commence scaling some rock. We took our 5 year old boy, Jack (see photo) for his first rock climb. Like most children of his age off he went with an abundance of energy and shot up the rock face. Then the realisation hit him that what goes up must come down!! Sitting back and trusting the rope was a whole other ball game and required – well lets just say some gentle persuasion. However, after a few abseils he learnt to trust the rope and was abseiling down fine by the end of the day.
Enjoy a climbing long weekend or week long holiday the The Great Escape in Morzine and stay in our beautiful 18th Century Farmhouse la Desmeuniere. So if your children are driving you up the wall this summer holiday then come to Morzine and get them scaling a different kind of wall!
We were pleased to welcome back the charity Link Leisure once again this year to a free holiday in our Farmhouse la Desmeuniere in Morzine. The group enjoyed activities such as white water rafting, climbing, caving and the adventure park.
Each year we run two free adventure weeks in Morzine. This year we welcomed Link Leisure – a charity supporting children & adults with a learning disability to build an enhanced quality of life through sport and social activities in the community.
In August we will be welcoming another charity – Caring Cancer Trust- who will be joining us for a fun-packed week of adventure in the mountains. The Caring Cancer Trust, as part of their Healing Holidays campaign, are coming to stay in our catered Chalet la Desmeuniere in Morzine. One of the aims of the Caring Cancer Trusts Healing Holidays scheme is to give children who have suffered from cancer the holiday of their young lifetime, helping to restore their self-confidence and passion for life after such a traumatic and tough period in their early life.
Without your support we would not be able to offer these holidays so a big THANK YOU for booking with us.
