MORZINE
Situated in the Haute Savoie region of the French Alps, just 40 miles east of Geneva. Morzine is an attractive savoyard town set within a forested mountain valley, full of traditional Alpine charm. Morzine has managed to embrace tourism, whilst maintaining that special atmosphere closely associated with a winter alpine holiday.
Morzine and its surrounding area has a wealth of facilities, including a huge range of shops; a fully equipped sports complex boasting a skating rink, swimming pools and tennis courts; and two cinemas. Other activities to put to the test are tandem paragliding, snow scooters, night tobogganing, floodlit skiing, snowshoe walking, sledging with husky dogs and much more. There is also a free local Morzine bus service to all of the ski lifts.
If you're still feeling energetic after a day on the mountain, you can take advantage of the wide variety of bars, nightclubs and restaurants in Morzine - there's something for everyone, from a little après ski before heading back to the chalet for dinner, or a big night-out - but remember you are up early for a big days ski!
