Yesterday we kitted ourselves in all our winter gear and went on a beautiful Sunday afternoon walk in Avoriaz. So it is true. The first snowfall has arrived and it is looking good. From the 2nd to 9th April 2011, Morzine and the Portes du Soleil will be hosting its first Wild Music Festival – a music festival with a difference.

All you need to do is get your boots on, skis on and receive the secret concert locations via text, a few minutes before the show starts. So I am the first to admit that I have been dragged into the 21st Century and now possess an Iphone 4 (which incidently I love despite telling myself that it is not a toy)! I’m gradually discovering the delights of all kinds of Apps and in this process I discovered an App for Skiing in Morzine. We would like to introduce the iTrailMap 3D.

Download the iTrailMap 3D and you can be skiing in Morzine without the need of continually looking at an increasingly soggy ski map! All you need to do is download the Portes du Soleil Piste map, activate your phone’s GPS radio, and away you go. Your tracks will be noted throughout the day. At the end of the day, when you are relaxing by the log fire with a glass of vin chaud in one of our luxury catered ski chalets, you can upload your tracks to the 3D Skier.com website, allowing you to record and share and/or compare your skiing in Morzine with your friends.
